I've been teaching most of my adult life. I started tutoring while still in high school, and I continued as a teaching assistant as a college student. I taught at Hope College for six years in a number of different subjects: saxophone, jazz ensembles, music theory, aural skills, piano class, and music appreciation. Above all, Music should be fun! I love sharing my passion for music with everyone, especially my students. As well as studying what the student is enjoying lately, I would like my students to get a feel for and listen to many different styles of music so they will be able to play almost anything, and hopefully get a wider appreciation and understanding of music in it's many forms.
