My teaching style is unique because it revolves around having fun with music. I believe that more traditional forms of teaching can be too dull or too urgent, leading to disinterest. Once you become disinterested, you're far more likely to quit - and I don't want you to quit! My teaching style consist of setting realistic goals and encouraging students to push past what they think their limitations are. Getting my students to understand that this journey is a marathon and not a race is important so that they can understand how they should pace themselves as they progress. Offering my students a chance of performing in front of an audience through recitals, gives them motivation to continue to strive to be a better player and allows them to see the fruits of their labor.
