I teach from a flexible curriculum depending on the student's goals and interests. If someone wants to learn technique, music theory, songwriting, how to play Taylor Swift songs, arranging, composing, confidence, et cetera we will work on what is driving them to take lessons and learn! If the student is younger I will provide them with an organized syllabus and “fun” damentals! If they are older, I will help them find a way to stick with the music and accomplish their goals. Connection.  I believe having a connection with the student is the most important factor. I strive to become close with all of my students.  This way we can learn more efficiently while still having fun.  I spend a small portion of lesson time getting to know my students and talking about what interests them.  Sometimes, I'll take these interests and base the a lesson around it. Everyone who picks up an instrument is not going to tour the world as a musician. While this is true, every student can play and be proud. It is my job to help students progress and reach that level. I like to keep lessons light in attitude, but still put responsibility on my students. Work outside of lessons is a must for progress, even if only ten minutes is all that is possible. One of my goals is to show students how to reflect on whatever work they are doing and tell for themselves whether it is good work or not. I began teaching music when I was 18, I began teaching private drums and piano lessons in my home studio, I've been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 7 years. Upon graduation, I got my first music teacher position at Rishon Lezion conservatory, I taught private saxophone, flute, drums, and piano lessons as well as group music theory lessons and directed students ensembles.
