Corey has taught and directed music and theatre for youth for over 15 years. Corey was born and raised in southern Oregon where he spent his youth performing live music and theatre on stages like the Ross Ragland Theatre, The Linkville Playhouse, Oregon Stage Works, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He has been playing the guitar and drums, as well as acting and directing, since he was 12 years old. I began teaching after graduating high school and have continued to do so ever since. During these years I attended college at California State University Chico, where I earned my Bachelor's degree as an audio engineer. This journey greatly helped me grow as a musician, teacher, leader, and engineer. Through out my college years I continued to play in bands both through my school and locally in our community, started my own business to help local musicians gain recognition and improve their skills, gained a new appreciation for musicianship and creativity through the eyes of an audio engineer, and of course taught my students to improve their musical abilities. By the time I was in high school I had earned the reputation as "the drum guy" and friends would come to me for informal lessons on how to practice and play drums.
