As an educator, I'm a dedicated pedagogue. I like to encourage students to think, work, study, and practice the instrument on their own, not only in the class. My leitmotif is "I can't teach you anything, I can only make you think”. As a teacher of clarinet at the music school "Vatroslav Lisinski", my career dates back to 2006. My students have so far won 49 first, 16 second and 2 third prizes in the national and the international competitions. Read More

I specialize in orchestral repertoire, however my career has allowed for solo engagements as well as extensive chamber music across North America and Europe. I currently serve as the Principal Clarinet of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and Phoenix, as well as Second/Bass Clarinet with Boston Lyric Opera. I strive to maintain relevance within my own playing while modeling it after clarinet icons throughout the generations, namely: Thomas Martin, Harold Wright, Daniel Bonade, Stanley Hasty, Larry Combs, and Robert Marcellus. I have had the great fortune to play music on 4 continents, and recently played my first show (of hopefully more!) at the House of Blues in Boston, to a sold-out crowd. I have taken hundreds of lessons over the years from masters such as Dave Liebman, Gary Smulyan, and Lynn Klock. Read More

Positive acknowlegement of achievements, clear communication and demonstration of techniques, opportunities to play with others at a similar level of growth and an atmosphere of musical community are key to the progress of my students. To inspire, instruct, and enjoy music is the mesaage the teacher should be imparting to the student. Read More

I started teaching privately over 5 years ago, from my college apartment bedroom, and ever since I have been consistently teaching. Some students come and go, but I have some that have remained over the years. I believe that music is all about inspiration, which then leads to motivation.
