We would then move to fulfilling repertoire that would qualify the student for collegiate study and competitive performance. In 2013, I graduated from Temecula Valley High School and I completed four years of marching band there. Being able to read music is important, but what's more important is being able to hear music correctly. During the past few years, I found students often being interested in listening to music more than reading a written chart.
