Instruments: Piano Violin Cello Viola Music Keyboard
My lessons are very structured and fun. I incorporate games, visual aids, physical application, and live demonstrations to help appeal to the different styles. I do expect a high level of commitment from students while still being understanding that life doesnt always allow us to practice hours and hours a day. Since I do provide a lot of information within each lesson, I add a 5 minute break (if needed) to help clear the mind or just rest the eyes/arms since staring at music for a long period of time or holding up an instrument for a long period of time can be quite taxing. Instruments: Piano Violin Cello Viola
I started teaching back in college. I had a private studio of violin and piano students. I then took on after school strings classes as well as maintaining my studio. I graduated from college in 2006 and then I bagan my career for the next 7 years as an orchestra director in the public school system, which I enjoyed. I realized that my true passion was teaching private lessons and having my own students. Read More
Instruments: Piano Cello
I encourage students to set goals for each week and complete them. If your children want to learn the cello, I will use encouragement and play as a way to introduce music. Being a friend with them, introducing and getting to know the cello in this way is an important criterion for me. I hope everyone can learn the piano happily and enjoy the fun of playing the cello. But if there are students who want to learn piano with me in a more professional way, I will also be very happy for you to come. Read More
Instruments: Piano Cello
For a creative activity, I encourage my students to relax and have fun while learning about the nuances of the music playing to comprehend the relationship between the theory and the performance. I believe that music learning is just like the alphabet, learning each letter by the time. My personal goal is to teach my students how to be performers and play beautiful music on the concert stage. A concert can be as little as one piece in a family dinner or a gig in a teacher while learning that we can captivate an audience and drive their emotions with our music. Read More
Instruments: Violin Cello Viola Double Bass
I also took piano lessons, played double bass, and played clarinet in band for 4 years. Cello was my calling, and I focused solely on cello from sophomore through senior year in high school. As I entered my first degree program at The University of Memphis, I found myself focused on performance. However, my cello professor noticed my ability to analyze performances and then offer performers encouragement and suggestions. Through his encouragement, I began to view music very differently. Instruments: Cello
I have been playing the cello since just before 6th grade and have played consistently until college where I continue to play solos and in an ensemble. I am currently attending Austin Community College for a degree in Music Composition. On top of cello, I have arranged and composed multiple pieces that I had the opportunity to play with the school orchestra for both projects and just for fun, including arrangements for 4 cellos, and small ensembles.
