I make sure to put all my effort into adapting to every student. Overall, I set reasonable goals for each student that are challenging, yet attainable. In my lessons, I take an integrated approach to music education, drawing connections between music of practically any style, genre, or tradition; between musical technique, analysis, and expression; and between music as an abstract entity (e.g., a score, an acoustic phenomenon) and the cultural and historical context in which it is both composed and performed. I work on music not only from the Western classical tradition, but also from pop, rock, jazz, and folk music from around the world, as I believe all musical styles are worthy of exploration and consideration. I believe it is important to have a solid knowledge of theory and note reading- If the student has this foundation then they are able to grow quite quickly as musicians. My performing efforts were well received from the very beginning of my career recital and solo recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television. My professional orchestra career began in Bulgaria at The National Radio Orchestra and at the same time I was holding the first chair as a principal at New Symphony Orchestra with conductor and music director - Rosen Milanov –presently assistant conductor of Philadelphia Philharmonic. Currently I performs with Santa Barbara Symphony , New West Symphony, Redlands Symphony , Bakersfield Symphony , Santa Barbara Opera Antelope Valley Symphony and first cellist at La Canada Presbyterian Church. I have been teaching for the last 10 years. I taught at the East Bay Waldorf School in Berkeley, CA immediately after graduating college where I taught 5-13 year olds. I have taught private lessons to all ages. I can teach lead and rhythm guitar in a variety of styles including pop, jazz, rock. I can teach improvisation and theory.
