I graduated from Galileo University in 2007 and I was a formal member of the National Symphony of Guatemala. I studied in the National Conservatory of Music of Guatemala and I began my teaching experience there for a few years as assistant professor. From 2004 - 2014 I taught all Band Instruments, Piano, Violin, and coached singing lessons at the McCord Gallery and Cultural Center in Palos Park, Illinois. Over the course of my musical career, I have performed with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, the All-Northwest Orchestra, the Interlochen World Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Indiana University Orchestra, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, and the Denver Philharmonic. I have been playing cello for 20 years, after starting when I was 10. I was admitted to Jacksonville University at the age of 16 on a full scholarship, and there I pursued a double major in Music Theory Composition, and Cello Performance. I did my graduate work at Denver University, where I studied a variety of non-western musics, including Balinese gamelan, Ghanaian drumming, and Tuvan traditional music.
