For younger beginning students, I typically start with either the Suzuki Guitar Method or Alfred's Kid's Guitar Course 1. For older children, I typically start with either the Suzuki Guitar Method or Guitar for Kids: Hal Leonard Guitar Method. Students are able to progress through the Suzuki Guitar Method through multiple volumes, or move through the Hal Leonard Guitar Method - Book 1 and continue through subsequent method books. For a classical guitar approach, I use the Suzuki Guitar Method, the Fredrick Noad Method Books, and the Christopher Parkening Guitar Method Book. Read More

What I like most about lessons is working with the student towards the common goal of making them a better musician. That is done by reaching many smaller goals over the course of weeks and months and possibly years together. With that in mind, I like my lessons to be an open conversation between the two of us.
