Since the age of 9, I've been learning and performing with a guitar. First it was recitals among my fellow peers at my local Music school. After gaining enough proficiency, I started playing in a multitude of bands as a teenager, playing various local venues around South Florida. My love of music comes from the personal fulfillment attained when creating original compositions. Learning to play songs that are enjoyable is great, but the best part of music comes from the ability to be able to invent and create something new. Read More

My methodology is based mostly on understanding the practice and applying the theory to it, to know where what you do comes from. but above all enjoy and fall in love with your instrument because that is what pushes you to continue learning. The music is not explained or shown in words, so it is unnecessary to write as much as they demand, people just want to play and they just need someone to teach them how to do it... In the first lessons, I explain the the beginner students the basic functionality of the instruments, the proper way to hold the instruments, how to produce a clear sound from the instruments and a Major scale ascending and descending, the one from which the first lessons or the next lessons is written. If the students already had books from prior music instructor, we pick up from the last lessons after answering questions t o make sure the students thoroughly understand the lessons from the previous chapters and he or she is ready to proceed to the next lessons. I really take a look at what the student needs to learn and what the student wants to learn because I've seen a lot of students giving up because the institution or teacher is giving to much theory and very poor practice. I try to balance those responsibilities to a point that the student will always be learning something new as long as I work on their motivation and consistency of keeping up so they can learn how to play anything they like and want. Although I have experience teaching both private, one-on-one lessons and group lessons in a classroom setting, I find that one-on-one lessons is the best way to learn. This allows students to go at their own pace and not have to feel rushed. Not to mention, it's way more enjoyable to learn when you have a patient teacher giving you support and motivation. I don't like to rush students because after all, most students just want to learn for fun. Read More

I'm always encouraging and pushing my students to practice more on a daily basis and make them aware that practice and going over the lessons over and over makes them better every day. I'm always also pushing and motivating them to learn more and practice more. The more they practice each lesson the better they become and the more they would have control of the instrument. Always motivating my students to push forward and practice in class as I monitor their own progress and guide them to practice on their own at least one hour to two hours daily. Read More
