I am a passionate musician and fully certified instructor who always looks for and sees the best in everyone around me. I am in three bands of various genres and I found over time that enforcing learning music through having fun with it is the most effective way to learn! Nobody wants to learn something if it becomes boring or a chore, so I always find ways to keep learning interesting. Read More

I base my students' curriculum on their individual needs and interests. I strongly believe in learning fundamentals and the principals of music through scales, music theory, ear training, and reading music notation. I believe it is equally important for students to develop their own musical interests and goals so that we can apply all of the practiced skills in a fun and meaningful way. An example of this would is if a student wanted to learn a Beatles song I would have the student learn the chords and melody, but also the associated major/minor scale that song uses and develop an exercise that would be helpful towards learning the song. As an instructor and professional musician, I teach and motivate my students to develop their skills and expand their musicanship. I graduated from Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, NYC, with a Master of Music. I'm very fortunate to have the opportunity to play with many extraordinary musicians here in New York City and around the world. I'm passionate about music and I love to teach students how to focus their passion for music into a finely honed technique. Read More

My approach to teaching music involves three parts: 1. Learning proficiency on an instrument; 2. Maintaining interest in playing and 3. Creativity. I find it is very easy for people to get into a rut and/or get bored with music and I have some very specific approaches designed to mitigate this. I have a variety of gear at home including piano, basses, guitars amps etc so no need to bring anything if you come to my house to learn. Read More

My teaching style is very "go with the flow." Each day is a new opportunity to learn a little more about music and your chosen instrument. Each lesson is a time where we can delve deeply into one piece of music, or jump around to several different topics. Of course, there is always room for structure and I make sure that we stay on track! There are so many different aspects of each instrument to cover, but there no need to get bogged down with complicated acronyms and over complex methodology. Read More

I started teaching when i started college. I was first a substitute teacher. From then, I slowly built up my student database. I have worked for many music schools and have always had a packed schedule. I make sure the student feels at home and comfortable when taking lessons. I believe music education is important these days. Many schools are taking away their music programs. When teaching, I am confident in my skills for keeping the student interested, learning, and happy. Read More

I have been teaching music since 2010. I used to have students back in my hometown up until 2012 when I moved to Boston for my Bachelors. I kept having students during that time during which I also worked as a Core Music Tutor in Berklee College of Music. There, I helped students having difficulties with their basic Music subjects such as Modern Harmony, Ear Training, Tonal Harmony (Classical Harmony), Conducting and Arranging. Read More
