I naturally fell into playing music after receiving my first guitar at age 10 and have been playing ever since for 14 years teaching for 6 of the latter years. Beginning by playing classic rock/punk/metal/hardcore venturing into various sub-genres catered to these styles throughout his teenage years when he started writing recording his own songs playing in various bands in the Tri State area. For beginners on string instruments , I start with teaching them the major scale in the key of G, and then progressing to beginner songs. After a few songs are mastered, I ask each student to propose a song theyd like to learn based on their individual taste. For percussion, I focus on fundamentals such as proper sticking techniques and rudiments.
