It all started when I took my first drum lesson in the 4th grade. From then on, I wanted to play whenever I could. I played in all my school bands from middle school to high school. Graduated Southern University, home of the world famous "Human Jukebox" which I was a member of for 3 years, as well as playing for my church since I was 13. There is so much to discover about music, so I encourage setting small goals each lesson. I like to teach my students songs that present many different melodic scenarios and help them develop their ear so that can start to recognize all types of chord progressions, melodies and rhythmic patterns.
