I teach all styles of music. I begin teaching from piano books published by Alfred. I also have the student learn their scales as well as give a weekly written music theory assignment. In my teaching I aim to first assess where the student's skill level currently stands. I focus on being able to continuously develop a student's ear, theory knowledge, techique, and sight-reading. While working in these areas, I like to connect with the student on their individual goals and what they want to work on in their lessons. My personal style of teaching come from more than 20 years of experience on it. I will taylor a different plain of study for each student, from absolute beginners to the Advanced level. For early childhood i will use the Orff Shulwerk model of musical education , very funny and easy to learn. We will start to write together our own music after the first lesson!
