For beginners I like to start with the basics of how the voice works and the proper techniques to use it. We always spend time at the end singing something they want to sing, it's important to not feel pressured into music. We will build a repertoire of songs the student is connected to and work towards a set list for a showcase. I hold a degree from Case Western Reserve University where I studied art and music theory. My professional experience includes singing with a Chorale that performed with the Cleveland Symphony and performances as a soloist with choirs in Ohio and Michigan. I founded and was the director of the Academie des Beaux-Arts, a performing arts school and the Actors Alliance Theatre, a professional theater company that gave young people a chance to perform with professional actors. For older individuals, I prefer to work with their interests, and work towards their goals, through tailored lessons.
