I learn what the student loves about music and try to work from there so that the experience is meaningful, advantageous, and fun. Sharing music with others is incredibly important to me as a person. Through our discovery of what music elicits a passionate response we will tailor our work towards building a foundation that best fits each student. My teaching experience started at the School of Rock and I loved it ever since. I continued to improve on my teaching ability as an English Teacher in China. I lead some group lessons at "Group Expression" in Shanghai; working with non native English speakers. The skills learned as an English teacher have helped immensily with communicating with students on how to better approach their singing. I like to use the IPA chart to break down words in any language which helps immensly when talking to students regardless of native tounge. Read More

I started teaching while I was in college back in Texas and then moved to New York to pursue a career in Musical Theatre. I kept students from Texas online (some of whom are still with me today) and took a year and a half break from new students to do an international tour and an off-broadway show.
