My teaching experience dates back to my high school days, as I rose to become section leader of the clarinet section in band and section leader of the alto section in choir. Since then, I have been teaching private lessons to students of all different ages and skill levels, as well as individuals with disabilities. Encouraging practice schedules and routine is something I like to emphasize in younger students. Other recent roles performed include Dominick Argentos Postcard from Morocco (Lady with a Hand Mirror), Candide (Cunegonde), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and HMS Pinafore (Josephine). Her recent concert appearances include the title role in Debussys La Damoiselle lue, and soprano soloist in Handels Judas Maccabaeus with the Queens College Choral Society. I pay close attention to what exercises students seem to want to spend the most time on and the ones they get frustrated with.
