I am a musician, composer, teacher and author. I graduated from the NYC "Fame School"- Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS of Music and Art. I studied music theory and composition at Mannes Conservatory, NYC and received a BA as a Music Major from Aaron Copland School of Music/Queens College/CUNY. I took Graduate courses studying Special Ed/Music Therapy at Lehman College, NY. After in depth research with creating highly motivational music programs for all ages as well as for children that had ADD, Autism, or Aspergers, I was awarded a grant from the Grammy's to write a book.  I have traveled to Europe and the far east teaching creative music workshops. I've been teaching since 2005:  Privately with students in their home or my studio, with brick-and-mortar studios, and with online lessons services (like Musika).  It's most important that my students have fun learning their instrument, but I also emphasize daily practice and work on the fundamentals of whichever instrument he or she is learning.  After all, if you don't work on the fundamentals, then you won't be able to play your instrument any better. I have taught in the Mesa Public School District as an Accompanist/Vocal Coach since 1996. I currently work at Mountain View High School and teach Extensive Sight-reading, Vocal Training and Accompany all eight choirs on the piano/keyboard. I am also on staff as a Music Literacy Instructor/Accompanist for the Phoenix Children's Chorus since 1996 and have had the opportunity to direct and accompany our choirs on 21 tours to date within the US and Internationally.
