I approach teaching with an empathetic, open mind. I truly want to get to know my students and their goals, so I can help them the best I can. I'm very patient and will push a student to do more but at their own pace. I help students use mindset and visualization tricks to unlock new potential. I'm very motivation oriented and encourage my students as best I can when things are more difficult. Read More

If students come in with just an initial curiosity or are unsure about their direction, we try various songs and learning methods to see what they feel most comfortable with, what's most fun for them. I also love to ask the student questions and emphasize open communication to make sure they're an active participant in the learning process. This includes weekly lesson notes and consistent communication with any loved ones. Read More

What you put into anything is what you get out of it; its the same with vocals. I customize lessons to help you get to your voice and/or stay with your voice. However, you have to know the basics and if those aren't there, that will be the initial focus. Read More

My teaching style is two part. Many teachers approach each student with the same routine and technique, and don't really listen to the issues the student has or wants to discuss. I listen to students' thoughts and observations, and address their issues and concerns specifically; as well as coming in with my own plan for what can be improved and how to go about achieving the students' goals and what needs to occur for improvement in my professional opinion. For beginner students, I start with the fundamentals of music and we work our way up to integrating repertoire that they will eventually be able to perform in recitals and shows! I am a very flexible teacher and I understand firsthand that to remain interested in learning music, a student needs to feel included in the choices regarding what they are working on. With that in mind, I like to use both repertoire that a student has brought in, and repertoire that I choose very carefully to suit a particular student's strengths and challenges. Read More

I am a singer/songwriter/producer. I started teaching vocals due to the high amount of inquiries for lessons by my fans and their parents. I am proud to have lived in New York and to have supported myself solely with earnings from teaching live performances and private vocal instructions. I had an original band and I established my own record label. Currently I reside in Los Angeles, California where I slowed down on gigging and devoting myself to family. Read More

I've been teaching for several years since I got out of College and it's been a rewarding experience. I love witnessing my students make progress and evolve. I love to feel and share their passion for music. I do like to have a program to ensure constant progress but I do not mind at all adapting, changing, or not following at all the program depending on the student's demands and goals. Read More
