ABOUT
Degrees / Training / Special Info:

Berklee School of Music 2019 - 2021 Received Bachelor’s degree for Composition for Film, Television and Games.

Ventura College 2012 – 2015 Received associate degree in arts. Disciplines in music composition and guitar performance.

Overview:
I first found my love of music at a very young age and have been pursuing it's understanding every since. I graduated from Berklee School of music in 2021 with a degree in Music for Film, Television and Games. Since I have become a composer and sound designer for film and video games and it has been some of the greatest experiences of my life. Much like my days of performing the collaborative process is front and center. Only now I can collaborate with a wide variety of artists to help create a singular vision.
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching guitar for over a decade now. Through out my time I have learned that a patient hand and attentive ear toward what a student wants to learn has helped my students not only enjoy themselves but also grow with their craft. Whether a student wishes to learn simple songs to play by themself or around a campfire, learn to write their own music or all the ins and outs of music theory and their instrument I can help. While helping set goals, encouraging and helping set practice times and providing opportunity for performance (if wanted) students of all ages can feel accomplished and stay motivated!
METHODS USED
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a simple and fun melody from a song they enjoy. While learning this they will learn to read the notation, the notes they are playing and the scale it is in. This process will continue on into chords and chord shapes from songs they enjoy! Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, we will begin putting together full songs from front to back and delving more into why the music functions as it does. For adults, we will find out what you're interested in learning and create a specific path to help achieve those interests, no matter their ability level.
LESSON STYLE
I am a relaxed teacher, and try to make that a key note in everyone's lesson. No one likes to learn with a headache! Each lesson will have exercises and songs catered for each student's wants, designed to help progress at a steady pace. I encourage having an achievable goal set for practices and let each of my student's accomplishments be recognized. Being involved with the music community, I am also aware of concerts my students can perform and just go watch if they wanted. I encourage these types of activities and have found it helps keeping motivation high. No matter what I want students of mine to walk away feeling good about themselves and proud of what they have done.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
