I emphasize strengths and am always quick to point out the smallest of victories. Learning to sing is about consistency and knowing you're a work in progress. The youngest student I've ever taught was six years old, and I'm happy to work with children, adolescents, and adults. This means learning to listen deeply with curiosity, intention, respect, and joy bringing the meaning of play into every aspect of learning. My teaching expereince dates back to before I graduated undergraduate school. Since I had a semester to wait for Commencement, I was afforded an opportunity to work as a Teacher assistant, in an Open Classroom Learning Environment. This immediately preceded a very rewarding Student Teaching experience in the rural southern state of North Carolina.
