Taking music lessons is an awesome experience, and my goal is to make it as fun and accessible as possible for each student. I have high expectations, but I make sure that the goals we set are achievable and realistic for each student. We discuss those goals together, and work toward them at the right pace for the student! Everyone is different, and I want to make sure that each student gets the best learning experience for them! Read More

I have been teaching since 2017. I started off with private lessons in St. Augustine, FL, then proceeded to join the Community School of Music at Stetson University as a Student Teacher in 2017. After graduating from Stetson in 2019, I stayed and taught as a Faculty Teacher at the Community School of Music, having more students. During my tenure, I taught students from four to 85 years old. When I went to get my graduate studies, I taught private lessons online and in person. Read More

I've been singing since I was a child. I've played in school orchestra and church praise band even before college. I've performed for the president and sung in Moscow's Red Square. My studies have focused on liturgical church music though my pentecostal church background has helped combine spirit with tradition. I currently teach music to grades K-5 in a public charter school in Duval County, Florida. Read More

When all the pieces are in place. Read More

For beginning students who are children I use varying method books such as Faber, Bastian, Leonard etc. These method books do a wonderful job of progressing the student naturally and gradually which is my style of teaching. Once the student shows understanding and mastery of the basic fundamentals taught in these books, the level of advancement grows and solo pieces will be chosen that best help the Student progress musically and technically. I like to start by exploring where the student is at in their musical education and what they are looking to study in private lessons. From there, we build the lesson around them! Once we’ve established where to begin, I’ll ask the student to choose a piece they’d like to perform and I’ll assign them a piece of my own choice as well. For my classical students I'll typically start with art song repertoire and for musical theatre I'll choose a classic piece. Read More
