I began my vocal private studio while working on my Masters degree in Copenhagen in 2007. Since then I have maintained an active studio in various cities including Miami and New York City with students of all ages and levels of experience. Instruction in all genres including Pop, Jazz, Classical and Musical Theatre while maintaining our focus on proper vocal technique and good musicianship. I also worked as the main vocal instructor, choral director and music teacher at the Roxy Performing Arts Center in Miami, Florida from 2009 to 2013. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop a passion for music, and seeing their confidence grow as they progress. Therefore, it is important that each student learns at his or her own pace. There is no need to over-exhaust them with tasks but I do encourage individual growth and development by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. My student, no matter what age, starts with light vocalizing, lip trills, humming etc. for young students I usually pick a light song and work on basics using the song as an exercise. My older students have to work a little more, exercising scales, monitoring placement, support, palette work. A song is picked by me and the student together. Read More

Looking ahead to the spring of 2024, I eagerly anticipate my role as the enchanting 'Fairy' in Jules Massenet's "Cendrillon," a prestigious MSM production. Depending on the instrument I’m teaching and the skill level of the student I’m usually going to start of with a 10 to 15 minute session of evaluation and assessment of needs acquired skills and students desires .we can then begin with exercising proper warm up posture and position .and run through warm up scales and learn rutiments or attack the desired skill requirements straight ahead depending on the students development.Music is an art and a discipline.it is a relationship one has with there instrument.my songs and instruments become like family ,well charrished!!!!
