I am a passionate and very relatable teacher who absolutely loves sharing my love for music with my students as I endeavor to help them become skilled and engaged musicians themselves. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2010. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the world, including 6 countries in Europe, Taiwan, and Russia. I have enjoyed playing, singing and accompanying vocally and on piano, organ and keyboard since the age of 7.  I have both Choir and Solo vocal experience as well as played piano and organ for Churches and special performances. I have trained choirs and soloist and taught singing lessons for more than 10 years. My musical experiences started at church in the 80's when I discovered that I could sing really high notes imitating Christian artists like Sandy Patty and the late puertorican soprano Yolanda Vadiz. Those experiences motivated me to consider studying music seriously not just like another hobby. I started studying voice techniques at the age of 20 at the Sacred Music Institute in the Methodist Church in Hato Rey, PR. My main goal and teaching is to inspire self motivation and make it fun! I like to pick songs that are fun to play and challenging at the same time depending on what level you are at that time. By doing this I think keeping the instrument out and not in the closet is a good start that way if the inspiration hits you and you want to play it is within your reach "guitar stand and wall hangers are ideal" and not in the case the put away " Out of sight out of mind" I suggest buying a music stand for your instruments and or wall hangers which seem to work very well as a display and also so the instrument is within your reach.
