I am a prolific 24-year-old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and music producer from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas who is passionate about sharing my love for music and creative expression with others. Having played music my whole life, and having explored computer-based music production for a decade now, I pursued guitar studies at Berklee College of Music with a primary emphasis on jazz while enrolled in the Electronic Production & Design program. In 2014, I left school, working briefly as a QA tester and audio hardware and software developer for SONiVOX, a subsidiary company of music industry leader inMusic (mother company of AKAI, Alesis, Numark, Air, etc.). I love to see my students develop a passion for music, but moreover to develop the great self confidence that comes from beginning to play an instrument and sing. Lessons should be enjoyable and also focus some attention to the things that will help the student achieve all that they are wanting to accomplish in the long term. Read More

I approach each student knowing that every student is unique and so is their learning style. While the information that is delivered to each student remains the same, the manner in which I teach each student varies widely. I try to foster the best student-teacher relationship possible in order to gain the confidence and trust of both the student and their families. I also have much experience teaching students with unique characteristics such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, Asperger's, etc. Read More

I have been teaching since college and have taught elementary through high school/college music in public and private schools over 20 years. I have also worked with adults who want to review or renew their music skills or learn how to play or sing for the first time! I now teach private lessons in my home studio or in students' homes. I encourage students to find a daily consistent time they can practice, even if for 20-30 minutes. Read More

Teaching Voice is 90% being a cheerleader and the other 10% technique. Voice is so mental because the instrument is apart of us. This fact is why I love teaching voice so much. I love cheering my students on to first find their natural talent, and then polish their talent with different technique and methods. I also realize that there are many different styles of music, and I would never hinder my students from pursuing whatever style is their passion. Read More

Music lessons will certainly broaden the students knowledge of music. It has been proven through scientific study that the study of music will improve the individuals cognitive ability and aids in brain development. Children who study music develop higher math and problem solving skills. Age is not a factor as we are never to old to learn. My students range in age from 5 years old to well into their 70’s, many of whom simply want to improve their skills or recapture the joy of making music. The study and enjoyment of music can and often becomes a life long adventure whether its just for fun or as a career. Read More

I create my own custom lesson plans based on the needs and goals of each student. Usually, when a student first comes to my studio I listen to them sing a series of exercises and then a song so that I can get a good idea of where they are in their vocal development. I usually begin teaching fundamentals of breath and posture and resonant space in the first few lessons, but then build upon that with specific exercises and repertoire that fits each student's needs.
