My name is Rowanne, and I have graduated in Voice - Performance from Berklee College of Music. Coming from the struggling yet revolutionary country of Lebanon, I have found healing in expression and performance. What is it about music that has motivated them to study? Not everyone has the same goal or vision, which is a good thing. My goal as a teacher is to show students the joys of singing and playing music, while instructing them how to be technically proficient and vocally healthy. Through the process, I encourage singers to appreciate what their strengths are and to recognize their weaknesses as challenges. I like to focus on one technical issue at a time, building upon the current strengths without overwhelming the singers. In essence, I drive my students to improve and set attainable goals so that they can approach singing and playing in a smart, healthy, and happy way. Read More

I emphasize the importance of developing good technique and a fundamental understanding of the basic components of music: major and minor scales, arpeggios, chords, modes and chord progressions. I believe that technical facility makes it easier to accomplish musical goals while developing musicianship. I like to tailor my lessons to each student using music that the student brings to me to create lessons and exercises. For students that like to uses books I like to use the Hal Leonard Method books for Guitar, Bass, Banjo, and Ukulele and the Alfred Method books for Piano and Drums. Read More

My teaching style is completely student centered. I think for a student to be the most successful, they have to have a say in what they want to learn. If the student explains to me what goals they want to reach, I can guide them to obtaining those goals. I am an enthusiastic and compassionate instructor who loves to share my musical knowledge with those eager and willing to learn. I received a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Cleveland State University in 2018 and became a board-certified music therapist in January of 2019. With this degree and profession comes the knowledge and skillset of numerous instruments, including voice (my primary instrument), guitar, piano, and ukulele.
