I like to start out by setting a couple realistic goals for the long-term with my students, then breaking those goals down into manageable steps each associated with one or two pieces. For 15 years, I conducted church and professional choirs and participated in many performances as an opera singer on stage. As advanced players, we will focus on refining skills with drill books as well as work on standards in solo repertoire. I am a professional performer and vocal instructor, and have sung on professional stages such as Mount Baker Theater's repertory theater and the Whatcom Symphony opera series in Bellingham, Washington. I am a classically trained musician and relish singing folk, jazz, and other popular styles of singing.
