After several stints at several colleges for both Music Performance and Audio Engineering I am thoroughly enjoying a performing career focusing on drumset, piano and voice. I teach piano classically by reading music and patterns. As we progress, sometimes the student gets disinterested. At that point, I introduce the chord method as well as the number system- having them play certain progressions as I prompt them to play. I am full of energy and love learning as much as I can, but I also understand that full and in depth skill requires time and a certain level of patience and consistency. I relay this to students by repetition (specifically of principles), though I keep it fun and exciting by varying the application. Once the principle is fully grasped, we move on.
