Anyone can learn to sing through persistence, hard work, and healthy practice. Singing helps improve lung capacity, diaphragm muscles, immune system strength, and relieves stress. Reading and performing music also exercises the same areas of the brain that handle math, language, and critical thinking. I truly loved working with those students, and I am looking forward to getting back into teaching now that I have settled in Bowling Green. For older individuals, I prefer to work with their interests, and work towards their goals, through tailored lessons. I have been passionate instructor and have been playing multi instruments for 15+ years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and work as an ABA Therapist for autistic children. I have been in multiple bands and recorded a lot of songs. I have toured Michigan and the outer areas. I have had the opportunity to play at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, as well as St. Andrew's. I do not provide a strict curriculum. Instead, I form lessons based on student's needs as I feel this is more effective and more personalized. Things that we may explore include; warm-ups, posture, breathing techniques, tongue twisters, learning to read notation, and rhythm. Music making and teaching has been my passion since I was young. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education. As a child, I participated in choir for 8 years and was in the University of Michigan's University Choir and Orpheus Singers. I began taking private voice lessons at a late age (17 years old) and became a professional musician, so I know that it is possible to be successful even when starting later in life! Read More
