I also teach hour-long group vocal classes seasonally. On average, I teach around 30 lessons a week, mostly 30/45 minute sessions, and several hour long sessions in addition to my group classes. In college, I gave voice lessons to fellow students regularly and lead many rehearsals and after school music camps for elementary and middle school aged students. When taking on beginner students, I typically use a blend of method books and novice musical pieces to begin to build musicianship. With intermediate musicians, I tend to seek out anything of interet to the student while incorporating harder repertoire to strengthen musicianship and to continue to peek interest in music.
