I then transition to Suzuki repertoire. I also include music individual to each student based on their interests. My methods are flexible and designed to draw out the strengths of each student. No one ever regrets learning music and I believe that often times when a student gives up on music it's because they are not taught in a way that is effective for them. A one approach fits all teaching style can cause students to loose interest and not practice which in turn leads them to get frustrated, bored and ultimately causing them to give up. Therefore, I have learned to adapt to the student and tailor my instruction so that they are comfortable in the learning process.
