I am a classically trained singer with a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance who lives, performs, and teaches in New Orleans. I frequently perform professionally in several genres of music, including opera, jazz, musical theatre, and pop. I also have several years of experience teaching in all of these genres. For me, it's about building or finding moments. Finding out what is going to motivate you to learn that song, practice that chord, and try to instill the desire to show it off for next time. Once I find out where the student is at, wether they are learning their first chords or songs, or they have been trying for a while or just getting back to their old habit of picking up the instrument, the goal is to set the mark where one will wait eagerly for the next lesson, to show off their new found skill.
