With beginners and early age students I combine Susuki and traditional method along a series of exercises and songs that help them build the core of violin playing. I make sure that I provide my students the necessary tools to succeed. With my students I have developed a curriculum that covers technique, scales and repertory. For advanced students I work Jaques Dont studies, Kreutzer etudes, Scales and Arpeggios, and we cover Baroque and Classical violin repertory like Vivaldi and Bach concerti. Read More

Hi! My name is Martina and I am a classically trained violist. In May of 2013 I received a Master of Music from Roosevelt University, where I studied with Lawrence Neuman of the Chicago Symphony. I had a lot of fabulous teachers in my life, but the ones I remember and am truly grateful for are the ones who inspired me to be a better musician and ones who taught me how to teach myself. Music is unlike any other extra curricular activity in the lives of young ones. Through the arts, a teacher is able to impose the education of feeling. It is important that children grow up knowing that there are multiple solutions to a problem, and music is a great way to instill that idea. Read More
