I've been teaching in a number of different situations for about 4 years now. I first began teaching in 2010 when I worked at the Magik Children's Theater in San Antonio as an instructor for a School of Rock class there. In this class, I taught beginning students on guitar, bass, keys, and drums how to play popular rock songs. I like to tailor my teaching methods to each individual student. I know from taking lessons myself that no two violinist are alike, and it would be silly to teach as if they were. For my younger students, I really like to focus on the fundamentals of violin technique so that they can have a firm foundation on which they can improve. I also try to include music theory and music history into my lessons so that a student leaves each lesson not only as a better violinist, but as a better overall musician. Read More
