For my beginning students, I typically start with scales, then some technical exercises that usually come from Simon Fischer Basics book, and a short piece that employ one of the scales with the techniques. Once the student understands the fundamentals, I introduce solo repertoire that is considered essential to know for their instrument as well as sight-reading techniques. Sharing my knowledge with my students and seeing them achieve something they worked hard for, and being part of the process is one of the biggest joys in teaching for me. I always aim to help my students produce a beautiful tone, while making sure they are not doing wrong physical movements that would make things difficult. I also consider myself to be excellent in teamwork projects, as I am always willing to learn from others and am very cooperative in any form of group dynamic.
