My love of music grew as a child having a family supportive of music education. I see the participation in playing musical instruments as much of a fun activity as it is a physical and mental workout. After receiving my Associate in Science in Music I went straight into a studio and started teaching a range of students from 4 - 24 years old, and from the never-picked-up-an-instrument-before to I-can't-wait-for-the-competition levels. Back when I was in Venezuela, I was playing in my city's orchestra the entire time from 2002 to 2018. In that orchestra, which is a part of the renowned "El Sistema". El Sistema is a system that helps underserved communities get the music knowledge they would otherwise not be able to get. We had different levels of orchestras, from beginners to advanced.
