I typically use a combination of methods in the private lesson setting-method books, etude books, books for technique, solo repertoire, and pop/rock/jazz music and or charts for contemporary study. For beginners, I like Essential Elements 2000, Faber Method, Suzuki solo books, and easy pop music books. For more advanced students, I will incorporate advanced methods such as etude books/orchestral excerpts along with repertoire geared more towards polishing for recital or performance. Read More

Even hold the little right hand for help for the bow move, A lot times I need help left hand and press down fingers, Only take two or three weeks they will control their little hands . i like to do a lot of exercises at the beginning of the class at least 15 minutes the we start whit the songs in the singing classes , for the instruments i like to do some exercises an the work on the technical books the with songs that the student like to play and also some recommend, i love to given rewards like compliments or another song that they love to practice that give motivation for the student. i like to give them homework or something to study at home , because more practice faster learning. I am a musician originally from Mexico, I have performed in Latin america and Europe. I am currently Principal viola with Symphony of the Americas and part of the Con Brio Quartet. Besides teaching and performing in orchestra I am also very active as a recitalist and chamber musician.
