I studied in Spain, where I won several chamber music competitions, until 2007. When I was 19 I moved to London to continue my studies at the Guildhall School of Music Drama with professors Sven Arne Tepl and Rachel Roberts where I attained a Bachelor of Music with Honours 2:1. In 2011 I was finalist in the Max and Peggy Morgan Competition. I understand some student may not have much time to practice, so I encourage as long as you practice even once or twice per week , set a short goal even one line two lines on the music or couple of bars, progress little and slow but practice on the right way, building right correct position and get used of it still helpful then nothing or some incorrect habit. I am a passionate teacher who loves working music students of all ages! I recently graduated from the Mannes School of Music in New York City with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, studying with Rebecca Fischer. I grew up in Northern Virginia and started the violin and piano when I was 3 years old. Since moving to New York, I have had the privilege to perform at Carnegie Hall with the Grammy Award Winning New York Youth Symphony, and Lincoln Center with the Mannes Orchestra, holding Concertmaster positions with both ensembles. I will vary my methods based on the individual student. For students between 3 and 7, I will use the Suzuki method, which in my experience is best for students of that age. For beginners after that, I will use method books and repertoire that not only addresses the students technical and musical development at that point in time, but is also fun and enjoyable to play. I encourage students to play in their school or community orchestra and will assist and encourage students to play in chamber ensembles. Read More
