Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. Beginning through advanced students ages 3 years - 99 years are very welcome! Beginners are encouraged to take private lessons, but group lessons as well as parent lessons in conjunction with the beginner Suzuki Philosophies are available upon request. Ear Training lessons are offered to students with at least 1 year of playing experience. Classes include rhythmic and melodic dictation, sight-singing, fixed Do SOLFEGE, and conducting using the standard Danhauser and Starer books for intermediate though advanced students. Read More

I will do everything I can to help them achieve this goal and find a way to keep the lessons engaging. If I am starting out with an adult student, I would want to find out what they are interested in achieving and work with them towards their goal. The ultimate goal of my teaching philosophy is to help my students to develop a passion for music and eventually develop their own understanding of music in an artistic form. Every week, I set goals that are individualized for every student. If the goals are not met, we could discuss the situation and adjust accordingly.
