After finishing an apprenticeship in carpentry and becoming a certified carpentry journeyman, I worked as a trade showroom carpenter in Berlin and Vienna. For my mandatory conscription in Austria, I served as an ambulance paramedic. I obtained a bachelor's and a master's in music and dance performance and education at leading universities in Salzburg and Barcelona. For beginning or young students (under age 8), music-related games are incorporated into lessons to encourage positive growth, rather than thinking of playing an instrument as a "chore". Small assignments are expected to be completed weekly, so that the child feels a sense of accomplishment and progress. For older or more advanced students, lessons are structured by a regimen of scales, exercises, and classical pieces. I usually start my violin students with Essential Elements books, and draw some technical points of beginning lessons from Suzuki method.  I like to start students on a real piece of music as soon as possible so they can get a sense of accomplishment sooner than later. For adults, I am more flexible and will ask what it is they would like to learn, then I will use many of the same beginning techniques tailored for their own musical goals. Read More

I suggest each students sits with the instrument at least 3 days a week, not including lesson day. I give you fun and easy warm ups to explore how to use the instrument.
