I'm an ardent and compassionate instructor who enjoys sharing the gift of music with children and adults. Music enriches the communities in which we live and expands our capacity to connect with humanity. I studied privately with Philip J. Teibel of the Buffalo Philharmonic from childhood through High School. I toured the Southeast US with the Oberlin College Choir and Orchestra in college. Since graduation, I've had the opportunity to perform with numerous ensembles including: Soulful Symphony and the Baltimore Symphony at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Strathmore Music Center in North Bethesda. I graduated from University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music in violin performance. I continued to Peabody Conservatory of Music, University of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for Master of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma in violin performance. As I have taught for many years, I feel encouraged and motivated when I can pass along my love for music. Nothing is more inspiring to me than to see someone's face light up when they pick up their instrument and learn. I set tailored goals for my students to reach every week, so that they have specific targets to reach. I began teaching when I was 3rd grade. My first student was kindergartner who was eager to learn piano but she could not afford to take lessons. She only paid me about 10cents per lesson but I found out teaching was enjoyable and rewarding. My next student was adult. I started having students with all ages. I completed my bachelor's degree with a major in violin performance at Indiana University Bloomington in December 2022. I have been working with children since I began working with Bar-T Summer Camps in 2007 at age 13. In my second year at Berklee College of Music, I decided to pursue music education. I have always been fascinated in music instruction. I have taught ages 5-18 in many different music fields like composition, arranging, performance, composition and theory.
