I have worked as an orchestra teacher in both Elmhurst and St. Charles in addition to maintaining a thriving private studio, serving diverse learners aged six to 60. My teaching experience dates back to my highschool days and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My first teaching experience dates back to High School when I had the opportunity to coach elementary orchestra students. As a student at University of Colorado at Boulder and DePaul University, I completed String Pedagogy courses which covered all the different elements of teaching from how to manage a private studio to instructing your students.
