My teaching experience began in 2009 when I played in a marching band of concourse in Brazil. After one year as a trumpet player the conductor ask me to teach the beginner students. I taught there about two years and I am proud to say that two of my students followed the music career, and one of them is getting graduate at Sao Paulo University in music education. I always provided different exercises and in different ways to they improve technically and encouraged them to listen and play the songs they like, to make the practice not a obligation but a funny moment. As a teacher I strive to discover with the student the most effective ways to practice so that musical goals are obtained in a way that is engaging and exciting for the student. I believe each of us learn differently; for some students I find that they are very hands on and prefer that I show them how to do something and then allow them to perfect it others I find that they need a little more guidance and need me to go at a slower pace but regardless of the student's learning language I take my time to understand where they are and outline a plan to help them exceed to the next level. In the first lessons, I explain the the beginner students the basic functionality of the instruments, the proper way to hold the instruments, how to produce a clear sound from the instruments and a Major scale ascending and descending, the one from which the first lessons or the next lessons is written.
