My teaching experience starts 6 years ago when I started teaching marching band in Douglasville, Ga. I marched baritone with Spirit of Atlanta in 2013 and 2014. As time progressed, I started to teach music with local schools through Georgia State University and private connections as either a section coach or a private instructor. My private studio, with brass students, has been running for about two years now. For beginners, I recommend Standards of Excellence and if the parent's budget allows, a subscription to Smart Music which can monitor and record daily practice and inform a student of minor errors so growth can happen between lessons. For intermediate or advanced students, I like to establish a well rounded warm-up routine for their practice and move into solo repertoire appropriate for their level.
