My performance and education career began as early as my freshman year of college. I have been fortunate to perform over 1,800 professional commitments in my career as well as teaching roughly 25 students. Some performance highlights of my career have been performing on four national tours, playing two contracts with the Hershey Park band, recording with different artists, and of course performing with the Marine Corps and the Air Force bands. During my internship with Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center  and volunteer work with The Cavalier Music Enrichment Program (both based in Baltimore, Maryland), I have taught music to over 250 students. From general music theory to specific instruction in brass, woodwind, and percussion techniques; I have had the privilege to work with students of various ages, spanning from sixth graders to college students. I'm a big believer in setting small but achievable goals. I also believe that achieving technical mastery of an instrument is a simple process of building habits. Some students may want to be pushed hard and challenged at every turn. Other students may not respond so well to such an approach so a different pace and style is required. It all depends on the student but in general I think a friendly smile and warm demeanor create a comfortable environment for the student to ask questions and perform their best each time I see them.
