I perform approximately 50 gigs per month on piano and flute as a soloist or duo with my husband (who is a teacher and performer on classical guitar, also in the Musika family). I have also taught all ages privately starting in 2016 at Menchey Music and have been consistent for 3 years. I motivate my students by showing them the challenges ahead and the rewards and accomplishments they bring with it. I have been fortunate to perform over 1,800 professional commitments in my career as well as teaching roughly 25 students. I began teaching my sophomore year of college teaching a beginner class aimed at teaching 5-8 year olds the foundations of music in a fun and interesting way. Soon after, I started teaching private piano and voice lessons to students age 8-18 as well as directing performance program shows. I have found that letting students pick their own material to work on helps keep them motivated and interested.
