My main goal in a lesson is to build the fundamentals and branch out from that basic understanding of the instrument. In any form of music, especially classical, a musician must have a firm understanding of the basics in order to excel in their musical future. I was an educator in the Seneca Falls Central Schools for 38 years where I first became an instrumental music teacher. I taught woodwind lessons grades 5-12 and conducted elementary and middle school bands.
