As stated previously, my end goal is to become a certified band director and am looking to get more experience with teaching. While in high school I helped fellow musicians in a sort of section leader role, as well as the "TA" for our stage crew class. I believe in teaching time management from the start. I will start with a small weekly practice goal, and as the students progress, that goal will increase. As they become more confident and comfortable, I will assign 3-4 songs, and so on. Every week should have goals that are achievable and make the student feel accomplished. Read More

My style is focused but fun! I ask my students to practice every day. While this may sound daunting, it's really the only way to make progress in music. My students know that I have many different ways to teach something, and I never give up! When a student struggles with a concept or technique, I love to dive into the nitty gritty of the situation until we've found a solution. Read More
