I also spent two semesters learning the baroque trumpet with Dr. Kris Kwapis during this time, deepening my admiration and appreciation for the music written during this period. For the intermediate and advanced players, there is a focus on transpositions, sight-reading, dexterity, and learning standard trumpet repertoire. All of my lessons are tailored around the student and adhere to the New York State Standards for Music. Each year after that, I got a new instrument and taught myself how to play it. I got the John Phillip Sousa award for playing trumpet in my high school orchestras. I love playing music in bands and I am always consistently playing music on a daily basis.
