Teaching a young student how to play the instrument by sound and not by reading notes allows them to use their imagination while playing. When students figure out for themselves, that is when the best kind of learning happens. During the fall I also have been a low brass technician for a local marching band. Finally I have played in many pit performances for local high schools. After they have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire and etudes for their first recital performance.
